10 days postpartum, still bleeding bright red?

I've messaged my doctor, but I'm 10 days postpartum and still having bright red bleeding. Everything online sounds like it should be pink or brown by now, and it should have stopped being bright red after day 3. While I wait to hear back from the office, does anyone else have similar experiences? I had a postpartum hemorrhage immediately after I delivered the placenta, so I'm a little paranoid about my bleeding slowing down.

Bright red definitely lasts longer than 3 days, for me at least.

It’s probably normal. I don’t really bleed anymore, but when I get a random gush it’s still red and I’m 2 weeks postpartum.

everyone's body is different but in my experience with my first i bled over a month bright red heavy heavy period like.

My discharge summary from hospital said that between days 7-14 there may be some heavier bleeding again as the scab is forming over where the placenta was. I’ve had heavier bleeding starting day 6.

I’ve always bled for about 6-8 weeks after every baby and I can’t remember what colour but it was definitely red for at least the first 2-3 weeks and eventually turned brown and became less. Like a period that last a really long time. I would worry unless theres an unpleasant smell with it or any clots.

I also had a pretty significant hemorrhage after delivering the placenta and I still get some red blood. I’m on day 14. As long as you aren’t filling more than a pad per hour, anything you have is normal. It still stops and starts for me.
