Ovulation tests

I’m sorry if i sounds really stupid but I’m new to this.

I have irregular periods and I came off the depo in February. Since then I had a period at the start of March and then haven’t had anything since but on the 8th may I had a bit of blood so thought it was period but the next day I had brown discharge then nothing. On the 20th I had a lot of light brown discharge so once again thought I was coming on but I literally had it for that day and haven’t had anything since.

So I took a ovulation test today and just wanted to know if the lines will get darker by each day I take them? Or can it stay the same or just fade by the day?

Any advice or stories I’m happy to hear!
