FTM here and want to get all the basics :) just looking for some suggestions and must haves!

I can send you mine and you can see what I think my must haves are. Other than the obvious crib, stroller, and car seat. A lot of insurance will give you a free breast pump so I don’t have that on mine plus I feel weird about people buying me that. (Just a personal thing for me). We have a lot for our baby girl a lot. Very lucky. I wouldn’t get a wipe warmer. They tend to dry out the wipes really bad.. in kinda using mine as my personal shopping list since we don’t have many people wanting to get us stuff but my grandfather took care of the really big things.

When I did mine for my first through amazon they gave me a list of suggestions that was super helpful! Also one recommendation is to not waste your time putting baby clothes on bc ppl will buy the clothes they think are cute and you will get a ton of clothes anyways! It’s super helpful bc you will need them :).

If you register through babylist or just download the app, they have tons (like hundreds) of lists for all types of things. Like list for strollers, car seats, swaddles, bottles, etc etc. it’s been super helpful.

Car seat, stroller, crib, mattress, mattress cover, crib sheets, baby blankets, baby clothes in different sizes (sleepers, socks, onesies, pants, hats...), swaddles, burp cloths, baby bath, baby towels and wash cloths, baby lotion, shampoo, diaper cream, changing pad and covers for table, a nursery glider, diaper caddy, bottles, night light, humidifier, sound machine, baby monitor, play mat, bouncer/rocker, thermometer, baby nail clippers, baby wrap/Ergo, gripe water and mustela (I’ve heard are both must haves), boppy, pack and play, mirror to see baby in the car...I’m sure there’s more I’m forgetting 😂 it’s definitely overwhelming as a FTM. I have a crib, crib mattress, crib mattress cover, two crib sheets, a bassinet, a bouncer, a swing, baby wrap/carrier, tummy time play mat, travel system, extra car seat base, diaper bag, baby bath tub insert thing, bath time sets (soaps and lotion), towels, bottle set, bottle brush, pacifiers, swaddles, socks, mittens, onesies, reusable baby wipes, teethers, baby books, and diapers. 
I think I still need to add a few more things and I probably won’t get a bouncer and a swing.

Now with my second, I’m making a list more so I can get a discount. There are the obvious things (stroller, car seat, pack and play), but I wish I had looked more into the feeding stuff. Suction plates, sippy cups, forks, and older clothes. We got SO many clothes for the first 6 months, we didn’t even end up wearing half of them. Then I had to buy clothes after 9 months. For the clothes I registered for, because they were just so cute, I wish I asked for size 12m.
