Does anyone else only check Ovulation but not BBT??

Just curious is it mandatory to check the bbt?

I used to only check OPK, but I have found BBT to be very helpful in addition to OPKs- as I don’t have to worry about al the variables that go along with OPKs (dilution, time of day, etc.). Everyone is different but tracking both has been helpful for me

Nope. I just did opk. But that is a predictor. It is indicating, that is soon going to happen, but doesn't mean, it happens. With BBT you can tell later, you really had ovulation. I didn't need it. I just wanted to predict the time.

No, it’s not! OPK’s should be sufficient enough in pinpoint when you’ll likely ovulate. They don’t confirm ovulation, but they do detect the LH surge that happens prior to it, and although you can experience said surge and fail to ovulate, a positive OPK is still a pretty good indication that ovulation is near! Temping is not as accurate as most people think, and a rise in  BBT following ovulation does not necessarily indicate or confirm that you did ovulate. The only thing that can confirm ovulation is blood work and ultrasound.

I do both. Ive just found out this month i ovulated four days after my first peak which is probably why i havent been pregnant yet, we werent baby dancing at the right time!
Ive had peaks at all different times of the month so itll be interesting too see l(if not pregnant) when i actually ovulate next month
