Bleeding after intercourse 36 wks

First time mom here at 36 weeks. My husband and I were having sex which has gotten more uncomfortable for me but I wanted to try for him. We noticed during there was bright red blood and we stopped immediately. I wiped and there was a moderate amount of bright red blood then. I put a pad on to monitor it and it seems like it has slowed down (just a little on the pad after half hour). Never had any bleeding so far this pregnancy. No other symptoms, have felt baby moving. Anyone else have this happen or have any advice?
