Working while pregnant

I’m a CNA working night shift full time, I’m 6 weeks and 1 day. There’s a lot of lifting patients, bending down, heavy work. Was wondering when would be the appropriate time to tell my superior of my pregnancy and when can I start maternity leave? Also any safe tips that can help while working nights? Thank you.
