How can I protect a bird nest from a storm?

So some house finches started making a nest in the small tree I have in my yard. Today they laid an egg😊 I’m sure there’ll be more later.

That said we’re suppose to have a thunderstorm in the next couple days and where they built it, it doesn’t look very protected.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I’m sure it will get soaked if I don’t do anything. I was thinking about putting a little piece of wood a bit above it like an awning lol but I don’t want to disturb or scare them away

Edit. Lol well apparently people think I’m a child or something. First of all the birds know I’m in the yard alot. I watched them build their nest literally right beside me. Looking at the nest, especially when it’s at eye level isn’t gonna hurt themšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø obviously I have good intentions and just want to make sure they survive. I literally said I wasn’t trying to disturb them so I don’t know why everyone has to be a bitch and act like know it alls. Thought I might be able to get some advice cause FYI lots of people watch birds nest when they find them in their yard. But of course not.

Oh and another FYI to the person who said not to touch them if they fall out of the nest. That’s a total myth. I will most definitely save them and put them back if they happen to fall out, and their mom will happily come backšŸ˜ŠāœŒļø
