Ovaries are not where they are suppose to be??

I went to the doctor, after I had to go to the er for pain and turns out I had a cyst, well I go in my gyno does a transvaginal ultrasound and turns out my ovaries are in a different place??? They are touching and on top of my uterus. He said everything looks healthy, but he has never seen this before. He said what they thought was a cyst was my ovary. He also found something that he originally thought was an ovary on my right side. He is having to do more research over this and I'm baffled. He told me if I am not pregnant after this round of medication then he is going to do a abdominal ultrasound. He believes it maybe some sort of scar tissue. Has anyone else experienced this or know anything about this? Hes been in practice for 30 years.
