Tell me your breastfeeding story/struggles
I'm currently rocking my one week old to sleep and need to hear I'm not a failure. He has what the lactation consultant calls inconsistent latch. He will just park on my breast and not feed. I have to use a shield to get him to latch. And when he does suck it's for less than 5 minutes before passing out on my breast. I have to supplement with pumping and giving him a bottle and do tongue exercises with him. I'm told this is temporary but honestly I don't know how long I can last like this.
I want to hear about your breastfeeding struggles and how you overcame it. I need some type of hope that I will be able to be the mom with the three month old at the restaurant breastfeeding and eating at the same time not worrying about having to watch for swallows and if her baby is getting enough.
