Mental disorders and Abuse is not Sensational

*Random rant because of something i am seeing and also past things I've experienced in my life*

I see some people online and have know some people in real life that always wanted to fit into the category or having depression, BP, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, being abused, neglected, etc, but i bring these up because in those cases they were caught 100% lying for attention or to be "more relatable" so there was no question that they were lying about that but in my mind if you feel the need to do that something is wrong, maybe just low self esteem or being manipulative. They would either know no facts about what they "had" even after apparently going to therapy and having a professional tell them, deny real facts that you could google easily, or constantly change up their story based on how much you've told them about your own to be "relatable", lie about actual events (and get called out by people involved), ETC..

Anyway i never fully could wrap my head around people who WANT something to be wrong or who WANT to go through those things. They are sensational or fun or funny stories to tell to your friends. Its not a cool thing to be brag about having just went to therapy like it was a party.

Trauma and mental illness is not a trend.

I just personally would get a little offended back then because i dealt with it a lot from some people, not really anymore, when I would hear the stories be told to me and see the gaps and bs at some points to make you think it was true, when in reality a lot of the times they were over share details which gave some things away that is was just bs.
