How long?

How long does it take for a baby momma to get over it or will she stay mad forever?  Can people actually stay mad forever?
My SO’s baby momma seems to be willing to hold a grudge forever. They were broken up before we got together so it’s not like he cheated on her. At first she seemed to just hate me but now that she’s accepted he’s not coming back, she hates him too. 
Have you been in a situation where the relationship between you and your SO’s ex was bad at first but got better over time?  If so how did it get better and how long did it take to get better?  There’s kids involved so we’re going to be around each other at times.  My SO and I are planning on getting married so I’m not leaving.

Some babymothers think their entitled to certain shit even when the relationship is over. They want to be the only female in his life besides his mom. They hate to see their child’s father treat you amazing

My husband and his baby mama have never gotten along. They were a one night thing and he is strongly convinced she got pregnant on purpose. (obviously he should've been smarter about it but he wasn't and the resentment begins with that) she's a terrible human being and he refuses any contact with her. The way they interact together is far more toxic for his daughter to see than if she never sees them together at all. 
We took her to court not too long ago. (So now she legally can't keep the kid from us-last time was 6 months... For no reason other than spite) and for about a year all contact went through the lawyer. That worked well but of course was expensive. So i recently reached out through text(to document everything) and she and I have been able to be decent with each other. We only talk about pick ups/drop offs or something we need to know like if she's been sick or has a camp to go to. Never anything other than their daughter.
We've officially been together 3+ years now. I think it'll always be uncomfortable. But if you can keep your cool while talking to her, I suggest being the go between to keep tension down. They absolutely do not HAVE to see each other. Especially if (like our situation) it's worse for the kid to see.
As far as big events... Like birthdays or holidays, we've always been invited and we've always invited them, but it's kind of an unspoken thing that we aren't actually going to go and will instead have our own celebration with our side of her family. I have shared some of the photos we've taken of her and our family... That's about as personal as it gets tho.

She will get over it once she finds her happiness. Once she meets someone and actually full on moved on. It’s not easy not being with the father of your children regardless of the situation. 
I been apart from my kids father for 9 years and I don’t like him but I respect him for my children.
I’m married , he’s in a relationship but it’s just certain things that trigger me about him. Doesn’t mean I hate him. Takes a lot of time. Took 4 years until my kids father and I be in a good mind set to talk to each other and co- parent.

No, you two dont have to be around one another. You can meet for the children, as long as she feels comfortable and you two have been together for awhile then great he can have the kids around you too. But at the end of the day, you have nothing to do with it. And you also dont know what happened in their relationship to make her so bitter.

Until she is happy with herself and with someone else. No time limit. Grieving applies to relationships too. She is grieving what she had envisioned for their future together. 
Also depends how quickly he moved onto. Yes, maybe he didn’t cheat but it still hurts to see an ex move on with someone else whether you have kids or not. We’ve all been there

It's extremely situational. 
I'm a "baby momma" and I hate my ex. Not because I'm bitter about not having him but because of how he treated me while in the relationship and how he still treats me and how he doesn't give a flying fuck about his child unless he going to a family event where he has to show off how great a dad he is.
