Pre pregnancy check up?

So I have never gone to the doctor to get a check up before trying to have a baby because last time me and my husband kind of just winged it and I got pregnant in a month and lately I haven’t had any luck with getting pregnant is it normal to go to the doctor or the Gyno to get everything checked to make sure I’m in the clear and healthy to get pregnant again is that like a thing? LOL

Not really. I went for one and all they did was explain how to use opks and tell me to have sex every other we day which we were already doing. 
When its been a year, its worth going to a fertility dr for diagnositc testing. The testing is sometimes not covered by insurance, so it can get expensive and invasive especially for you and if theres nothing wrong, you likely would get pregant in a year anyway without wasting months on testing. If it has been more than a year (or 6 months if over 35), then def go to an re for testing and treatment
