Where do you feel braxton hicks contractions?

And can anyone try to describe them... my midwife was saying at our classes that she expects all of us to be having them now... but I dont think I have felt any... we are 31w4d today

Everyone has them, but not everyone feels them. I've seen many women on this app who never felt theirs at all. 
I felt them with my first at 25 weeks, my second at 20 weeks, and my third at 16 weeks. 
It is a tightening feeling in your abdomen. I've never thought they were painful, but I've seen some women describe them that way. Your abdomen will also get hard to the touch where your uterus is tightening around baby, practicing for labor. But there is no need to panic if you never happen to feel them. Not everyone does.

Not everyone has them.  But it sometimes feels like your breath is being taken and your whole belly gets hard.
