Higher dose = stopped ovulating ??

Question

I ovulate on my own with unexplained fertility so my doc prescribed Femara (unmonitored). 
The first 3 cycles (on 2.5mg) , my periods were like normal (on time) and it seemed like I was still ovulating based on opk. 
4th cycle doc upped it to 5mg and I had an anovulatory cycle by my guess. No positive opk and my period showed up after a 21 day cycle which has never happened before ! 
This month, Upped to 7.5mg and it looks like a repeat of last month - no positive OPKs. Not even close. Stark white. 
 I Can’t get in to see my doc for a couple weeks but wondering if anyone has experienced this?

Hey, hopefully you’ll see this, I wanted to give you a little more hope for these last couple of cycles. 
These are my opks for my current cycle

I was on 12.5mg letrozole cd3-7 and had a scan on cd10 where doctor confirmed 4 follicles. 
Based on opks alone it appears that I definitely did not ovulate. But, today I had a major temp increase. I need to give it at least a couple more days to see if my temps stay elevated but my hunch is that I did ovulate despite there being no other signs. 
I strongly recommend a bbt thermometer, especially if you aren’t being monitored. Use the app fertility friend to track your chart and hopefully you’ll be able to see a rise in temps. 
I have no idea why the opks don’t work for me while on letrozole but I’ve talked to others that say the same thing... they don’t get a positive on them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yea I've noticed that does happen, it happened to me with clomid I always ovulate with 100mg but few times we went to 150mg and I won't ovulate that month at all :| so I went back down to 100mg and I ovulated fine.

I also have unexplained and am now at 12.5mg femera. For whatever reason I think only one of my femera cycles was I able to get a positive opk but, according to bloodwork and/or temps I was able to confirm ovulation. I also noticed I ovulate pretty consistently cd11-12 while on it which is on the earlier side of my normal non medicated cycles. So you might still be ovulating!  If you aren’t being monitored I suggest trying to temp to help check if you ovulate!
