Is it ever okay to name call your spouse?

I have been with my bf for 7 years and he has called me so many names throughout our relationship. When we argue I try not to call him names but, he has called me a bitch, whore, dick, psycho bitch, other names in Spanish and what I hear the most is fuck you. I always tell him after he calls me not to call me names because it’s disrespectful but obviously he doesn’t care.

7 years sounds like you're wasting your time. No he should never call you any of that.ask yourself do you want your kids to learn that from him an think it's okay to call women that stuff.

Me and my fiance call each other names all day😂 its all joking of course and we have both called names before during arguments but we try not too. We do say “fuck off” and usually call each other “dickheads” but its apart of our daily vocabulary to each other anyway so it doesnt bother me. 
We barely argue so this doesnt happen often

No I don’t think it’s ok, I only said depends as when me and hubby argue we might call each other things like idiot, dickhead, bitch. But tbh it’s usually more like stop acting like a bitch or why are you being an idiot rather than actually saying shit up you whore. That’s not ok, and is extremely disrespectful. I would never be ok with my husband calling me a whore.

I’m not a saint, neither is my husband. We have said “fuck you” in an argument before, but we do apologize and make an effort not to say things like that in anger. It’s not healthy, but if you recognize it and improve, that’s what matters most. 
It’s one thing to occasionally call your spouse an ass or a bitch or even say fuck you when you’re joking around and/or not serious. It’s another to say these words in anger and with venom. My husband playfully calls me bitch at least once a day, but he does not use it in an argument. I call my husband jerk and dick every day when he’s teasing me, but I don’t call him that when I’m angry.

You need to set a boundary that he cannot talk to you that way. It’s is verbal abuse; even in an argument no one should be called out of their name.. You staying with him after the name calling is allowing the behavior. 
I was in an abusive relationship over ten years ago that was mainly verbal and emotional abuse. 
When I met my husband I let him know that I do not condone cussing or yelling at each other. I told him, if you love me and treat me right I will love you forever and that has been our relationship these past ten years. 
Not saying we don’t argue but we know to talk it out and not once has either one of us called each other a bad word or anything besides our names if upset.
You allow people to treat you the way you should be treated.

If you dont like the names and they are hurtful then your answer should be clear, its time to try to leave. If he doesn't respect you enough to speak kind words then what else is there?

Name calling to be hurtful isn't cool in my book but me and my fiancé call each other names sometimes when we are messing around or something. Not talking about the cute names. Like we've said things like "you ass" and stuff like that. But its our tone of voice and context that is the give away of what the intentions were.
