Wouldn’t it be easier?

So my boyfriend is basically graduated from college but has to do an internship before he’s fully graduated. Since the corona virus it’s gotten delayed and he will probably have to do it in the fall. Now his college is 10 minutes away and his apartment here is across the street from it. Where he lives at his moms house is an hour away from both me and his college. Well he’s got his lease until August. And basically he’s unemployed because he had 2 jobs on campus and when campus closed he lost his jobs. He had a few months of rent but wouldn’t be able to afford the rest and would have to ask for help. But fortunately he got unemployment. So he’s got several more months of rent now. I suggested that he renew his lease because he’s going to be driving an hour to work and back from work every day when he does his internship and it’d be easier to have a place literally right across from campus. The internship pays and for right now he’s getting unemployment and everyone knows people are getting $600 extra. His rent is like $500 xuz he’s got 2 roommates. I’m in no way telling him what to do but I was just saying my opinion it’d save him a lot on gas and having to wake up hella early to drive to work (he will be working early until like 5 pm). Next year I’ll be able to move in with him in an apartment too so depending where he gets a job I can relocate with him.
