When you were informed by your doctor that you failed the 3hr test and have GD, how long did it take you to see a specialist? I saw my test results online on Friday and called my midwifes office myself on Monday (yesterday) so that’s when I got the confirmation. The medical assistant was suppose to call me back yesterday with the phone number for the office, but didn’t. It’s been about 25 hours so as serious as this is I called back today to get the phone number. The specialists office has yet to receive the order for me so nothing can be scheduled. Even then the lady said I can’t get in until June 10th which will then be a zoom call and I’ll come in for a face to face appointment about a week after that. So I won’t know my levels until about June 17th and if I’m doing everything how I’m suppose to. I personally feel like that’s way too long for something as serious as this. I was also doing research and saw tons of articles that stated I should be seen within 48hrs after diagnosis as were put into the high priority list.
