Hi everyone, my SO and I have decided we want to start trying. We’ve been trying naturally for roughly 8 months now with no luck. How did you go about getting prescribed clomid? Did your doctor want to run tests, make you wait a year etc..? Is it just as easy as telling them you would like to try clomid? Just wondering how to go about the subject and if we need to prepare to be told that we need to wait or they want to try other avenues first....I know it depends on the doctor but I’m sure there’s a general “rule of thumb procedure” they all follow.

***Without diving into a long history I was diagnosed several years ago with PCOS and was referred to an OB for infertility after having not conceived for over a year. I never ended up going to the OB when I was referred.....Relationship problems and they weren’t taking new patients until the following year.
