Just curious what you think. Should we send our kids to school during this pandemic??

This virus isn’t going away. We’re either going to have to hide from it forever (no thank you) or start building our children’s immune systems and let them go on with normal life. Whenever we resurface, there will be a spike in cases.

No and I’m not. I’m qualified to teach him from home anyway and he’s thriving so much more than he was at school so he’s definitely not going anywhere until it’s a lot safer - I’m also 30 weeks pregnant and not putting any of my children’s or my health at risk

I don't know... I'm terrified but staying home is not good either. I feel like a crazy person, I can only imagine how our kiddos feel!

I have hesitation because I don’t imagine education is going to be super effective with kids all spaced out and only looking ahead and stying in their room all day. My guy is young, so I don’t have to worry about it, but I think I would lean toward homeschooling over something so rigid as the back to school plans I’ve seen. Little bodies need to move and interact and keeping him home seems more productive and a better opportunity for education.

I think we should go back to school as usual. If we are going to back with a ton of restrictions, I’m not sure I want them to go back. I worry about the anxiety being in school with restrictions will cause, of course I also worry about the anxiety not being in school is causing.

It’s not going to go away. We’ve been sending our 10 month old the entire time to daycare. 🤷🏻‍♀️ She will chew my computer cords if I don’t send her to school. Don’t know what other options there are. We’ve no family to watch her and a very small home - I sit at the dining room table to work.

My son has Autism so he needs to be in school. It’s hard when he doesn’t listen to me but does well in school. He’s going to a special ed classroom for Kindergarten. On top of that I have an almost 9 month old teething, clingy baby 🥵.

Yep go back as usual. I have two teens who did not get the quality education virtually as they would in the classroom. There’s no way honors and AP courses can be conducted on the level the need to be via computer and self study. I do not want them required to be in ppe in the classroom but would understand and comply if they are asked to wear a mask on the school bus as they’re overcrowded and no way to distance themselves there.

These kids need school. My son missed his last quarter of Kindergarten and he missed it so much. He misses his friends and school itself a lot he doesn't cry much but he has cried about this. With that being said I do feel like they need to make options available for high risk children.

My son will be attending his first year in the fall and I have no qualms about sending him.
