WHAT IS THIS?!

So during the COVID pandemic my baby boys hair grew so long that I had to give him an at home buzzcut (regrets 🙃) BUT after we noticed he has this weird line in his hair, that looks lighter than the rest,  that we have no idea what it is. Does anyone have any ideas? I’m not worried, just really curious 😊

Usually when I see a lighter spot in clients like that it is a birthmark or something similar but that is a unusual pattern for it so I concur with the the other response that you may have just cut that section a little shorter than the rest. It would give it a lighter look. 🤔

Could just be a spot where the hair isn't as thick but if it is just lighter hair it could be the start of his hair color changing or just a mark in his hair where it will always grow lighter. Like one of my cousins has one chunk of his hair that grows in white, not gray, white. It is very noticeable because we are black but if your son has a linger hair cut it won't be super noticeable.
