So what is being done about racism/the protests/riots?

Is the government taking any action? Passing any bills or policies or anything to fight racism? Or are they just going to sit back and hope this all fizzles out only for it to start again the next time a white cop kills a black man?

It seems like the government should be proactive here but I’m not aware of anything being organized to change....

Honestly maybe I’m expecting too much here from a man who has said plenty of racist things himself. But aren’t there other people/branches in the government who can make things happen?
