Does anyone wash their diaper bag before use?

I heard people wash their car seat before use. Now I’m wondering if people wash their diaper bags before use? People say car seats have toxic chemicals on fabrics so wouldn’t diaper bags have them as well? Also would like to know do you wash your car seat? Not sure if I should wash my car seat or not. Or diaper bags lol.

I never did😬 My baby is a happy healthy 9 month old so can’t be terrible that I didn’t

Yes. Basically all fabrics have a finisher on them when the leave the manufacturer. I wash everything before my baby comes near it 🤷🏼‍♀️

I didn’t wash either. Washing a car seat is a pain, even when it’s one of the easier seats, I’m not voluntarily doing that. And I’d have no idea how to wash my diaper bag.

I didn’t wash either of those things before using. I’d wash the bag out or the car seat cover when dirty, but that’s it. 
I did wash bedding and clothes before, though. 
My kid is a healthy & thriving pre-teen. 🤷‍♀️

We didn't wash either...we vacuumed the carseat with a shop vac really well. Our diaper bag was a natural canvas so wasn't worried about chemicals but honestly probably wouldn't have either. Clothes, sippy cups, hygiene stuff we sanitized or washed but car seat, high chair (except tray), stroller, diaper bag, carriers, ect didn't. If it had smelled chemically we probably wouldn't have even used it.

Not me. I can’t say I know anybody who has. Maybe with COVID it’s not a bad idea to be more careful
