“Put her on a diet” “don’t let her get so fat”

It’s sad to see that people start body shaming others from such a young age. I have a beautiful , healthy 3 year old who’ll be 4 in August. She weight 50lbs and is tall (6-7yr in clothes) she has my body type so she’s broad.

Hearing people in my in laws always saying “don’t let her get fat” makes me so upset. She’s a freaking toddler. She’s a baby. How can I control her how “fat” she gets?

I hate it because they call her “fatty” everytime they greet her and she gets so pissed off because she doesn’t like getting called that.

Why are you trying to put negative shit in my child’s mind? I don’t want her to grow up and feel like she isn’t beautiful. Self confidence starts at a young age and if you continue telling her negative crap she’ll never have that

It upsets me more cos I can’t even cut them off for they’re her own fathers family. They think everything is a joke, if I get pissed off and tell him he says we were joking but they don’t know that their jokes can lead up to her growing up feeling like she isn’t pretty cos she’s fat.

Then they wonder why she loves my side more then his. My parents and myself are always telling her she’s beautiful as a princess she gets so happy. It’s the little things you say or do. People don’t get it .
