This is my first pregnancy and I just found out I was pregnant Friday. I noticed yesterday that I had hives on my upper thigh which went away slightly during late afternoon. This morning I woke up and yet again have them on my thighs. Could this be a side effect due to pregnancy or is it caused by something else? Should I be concerned!!

Your skin may be more sensitive during pregnancy. My eczema is always more sensitive and acts up more when I’m pregnant (only on the inside of my right elbow but has different stages and sometimes looks like hives other times looks like a flesh eating disease). Definitely mention it to your doctor so they can keep note of it in your chart.

I've been getting random rashes all throughout this pregnancy (currently 34+3). My OB said it's nothing to worry about and just part of my body's response to changing hormones. I will say I do have sensitive skin and was prone to rashes even before I got pregnant, but pregnancy can definitely make them more common. Definitely bring it up to your doctor if you're nervous about it, but shouldn't be anything to panic about.

Could be an allergic reaction. Are you using something new on your skin or detergent? Is it only during that time that you get them?
  You could start keeping track of what your doing or using and see if any of those are the cause.
