Which opk do you recommend?

I’ve been using easy at home strips. No problem with them, always get a positive between cd 12-16. But I’m wondering if they’re accurate? Should I switch to clear blue smiley? Price is not an issue. I just want to use the best.

No those are fine the cheap ones. You cant see where your at with digitals and I hear a lot of issues with them. You stop testing after positive anyway so it doesn’t matter if you get more then one. If you want more accuracy you need to temp to confirm ovulation. Opks don’t confirm ovulation, ovulation day or dpo. Temp while using opks and you will know your cycle better.

Given that OPKs can only indicate when you are having your LH surge, not whether it not this actually resulted in ovulation or when the ovulation actually occurred within  the 72 hours after you see your peak, ‘accuracy’ is more of a marketing term than anything. Granted, I have only ever used the OPKs that only measure LH. I know Clear Blue makes one that measures something else as well but I expect the accuracy is, for all intents and purposes, about the same despite what Clear Blue might say.
If you want to get the most accurate picture of your personal ovulation, you will have to measure basal body temperature, use OPKs multiple times a day to more fully map your LH surge, take note of the state of your cervical mucus and do all of this for several cycles, entering the data into a log or app. Obviously you can be TTC the whole time you are gathering this data, but accuracy will only be increased with volume of carefully collected data over time, based on the assumption that your personal cycles are internally fairly regular.
Obviously you can try some different brands and systems, digital and analogue, to see what you feel works best for you, but a true picture of your ovulation can only be gained by careful collection and analysis (by you, assisted perhaps by an app like Fertility Friend) of several different markers: LH (OPKs) BBT, EWCM. Cervix Position, softness and openness is another factor you can use but personally I feel one should touch the cervix as little as possible due to its propensity to be irritated by relatively slight contact.
A note on app readings for T/C ratio on analogue OPKs: don’t read too much into the actual number it gives, go by your eye. Unless you have a specific or significant uncorrected vision impairment, your eye is absolutely sufficient to tell you whether or not the two lines are the same in intensity. Since the process of ovulation begins as LH is rising, not just when it reaches its absolute peak, finding said peak is not essential unless you are attempting to numerically graph and visualise the shape of your LH surge. This is interesting and helps to give a clearer picture of one aspect of your ovulation, but it does not tell you whether you ultimately ovulated (BBT will do that), and even with BBT information you cannot 100% pinpoint where in the period between your OPK becoming positive and your temperature achieving a sustained rise your egg actually emerged from the follicle.
TL;DR: use any opk you like, but do it in conjunction with bbt and cervical mucus checks and graph that shizz if you want to better pinpoint your personal ovulation in any given cycle. 😂 Whatever else you do, once you see the positive OPK, have sex that day and the two days afterwards, if you can.
