When will (or did) you start buying baby stuff?

I’m 16 weeks tomorrow and have had the entire nursery furniture set for two weeks now...

With my first I bought the cot and pram at 10 weeks, with my second I bought a complete nursery set at 5 weeks

We keep saying we are going to start buying, but haven’t yet. Definitely will by 20 weeks.

I started buying from before I was even pregnant. Call me crazy but I’m 33 weeks now and have everything I could need haha. But only thing I regret buying so early on was gender neutral clothes I loved baby clothes and was like if it’s a girl she can wear it too but I got pregnant with a girl and literally got rid of all the gender neutral stuff and she has all her cute girly clothes and bows and shoes now lol!  But nothing wrong with buying ahead especially diapers and wipes!

I bought some bibs & onesies (rae Dunn lady here and if you don't grab them when you see them, you'll probably never see them again!) Maybe $50-$100 worth, so 5-10 items. Before I was pregnant about 6-9 months before. We tried for 19 months so about halfway through. 
2 days after we found out we needed to do a Costco run, that's when we got out car seat, its the one we wanted, and it was a good price so we went for it. We also got a travel system on clearance (to have a removable car seat for the first few months since we got a 4 in 1 and we liked the stroller for everyday outtings). I also bought a noise machine and a pack of onesies that was around 4 weeks. 
We're waiting for a baby shower for most other stuff but if there's something I love that I see for a good price I'll get it 😁
We have also been buying a pack of diapers and wipes each time we go to Costco as they have a good return policy. But we're not going crazy with it. We know babies are different sizes and may grow out or need more of one size than a "online diaper stock pile list" suggests so we're being cautious to not over buy.
