Did people make as much of a fuss with your second / subsequent pregnancies?

Not at all. No showers. No bugging about names or nursery colors. No asking about birth plans. But I’m also not making as big of a deal - I don’t talk about it much, I don’t ask people questions, and I don’t take as many bump pictures.

Less fuss, but just as much excitement! We have a lot of what we need and know what to expect.

Yes but because they know our struggle with infertility the first time...and also the second time. They were elated and there was a lot of surprise. I think they were wondering if we were going to have another after what we went through to get our first and the learning we were struggling again. I don’t like the whole second shower thing but my mom wants to have a sprinkle if the baby is a girl (first was a boy). I don’t know if it’s something we will do yet and will decide when we know the gender. We will do a gender reveal hopefully on the 4th of July when my parents have a huge party every year but my husband and I find out at the scan and then announce it to everyone else.

This is my husbands first (biological) child, so very much so. His family, as well. I picked up a fern the other day to move it and they all freaked out. Lol 😂 🤷🏻‍♀️ But, this pregnancy has been a little more difficult than the first, so  even though me and baby are totally healthy, everyone is on edge.
