"Natural" ways to help induce labor at 40 weeks?

Kay

My due date is tomorrow! But I dont know if my little man is trying to come out or not🤷‍♀️ I'm huge and ready to meet him, and my doctor doesnt want me going past my EDD. ( healthy uncomplicated pregnancy, she thinks he is huge and this is my first) However I am hesitant about making an appointment to be induced, I would like to try home remedies for inducing "naturally" if anyone has any ideas or tips they are greatly appreciated! (We've been walking every night, bouncing on yoga ball, a week ago my midwife did a membrane sweep i was 1cm and a few days after that my mucus plug was lost!)

UPDATE: 6/9 I've started to have some light contractions this morning at 4am which I've been tracking. Mainly in my lower back spreading around towards the front in my pelvic area. They keep coming and are getting a little more intense but not unbearable or anything. I've been trying to stay moving, doing squats, walking, sitting on the yoga ball. I tried eating spicy food 😂 idk if that's gonna help or hurt in the long run but we'll find out.

UPDATE: 6/10 woke up throughout the night to intense contractions in my back. Got up around 5 and started tracking them. They're getting more consistent and more intense and are actually painful instead of "uncomfortable". Close to 5-10 minutes apart and over 1 min long. Gonna try to stay at home as long as possible, dont think I'll be making it to my appointment at 10:30 today though! Lol
