Anyone feel like veganism is a lost cause and we’re on a sinking ship? 😕

I hate how non vegans are so quick to treat us like extremists.  Like do they really not grasp what we do is for the greater good of humanity and the planet? 
We’re trying to make sure there’s a habitable planet left for YOUR children! 
It’s all so discouraging sometimes.

No! Quite the opposite! There are so many restaurants adding vegan options, more options in grocery stores, plant based options going mainstream in fast food chains! According to a quick google search, In 2014, 150,000 Americans were vegan and in 2019 600,000 were vegan, and in the last 15 years the number of Americans eating plant based had gone up 9.4 million to reach 9.7 million.

The journey of going plant based is not to obtain likes. Interestingly, I have learned who to tell and who not to. As you said, they want to act as if they have an opinion in what you do, which they don't. Thus their comments are null and void, when negative. It would be different if they just said it is not for them, but when they begin to berade and treat you like you are wrong, that is not a judgment they can make. Sadly enough they think so. They will be OK.

I am doing it to be healthy and get off medication I am supposed to be on the rest of my life. I went from every 4 weeks to every 8 weeks. The next step is getting off the medication. No, I definitely don’t think it is a lost cause. It is becoming more normalized now. People are starting to wake up to what the food they choose to eat is doing.

No, but I think I live in a happy little bubble. We have a surprising number of vegan and vegetarian friends and family, and our omnivore friends are just kind and respectful.

Kind of, at the moment I agree with you, but after Covid-19 more restaurants and cafe’s with open and be more aware. Hopefully
