Does lysine really help with outbreaks

I heard it helps a lot and i wanted to know yall experience on it

personally it was giving me a break every 2 weeks. 
I stopped taking it and I haven’t had an outbreak in a month and a half￼￼

I find that trying not to stress and keeping my immune system up prevent OBs. L-lysine, I tried it before but it made me get tingles all over my body.
