When did you start exercising?

2 weeks postpartum and I’m walking and doing yoga. I feel great and think I’m going to add some light weightlifting in. I exercised up until I delivered so probably about the same intensity for now. Waiting until 6 weeks to do anything strenuous or any jumping/running.

I will be 6 weeks PP this Thursday and I will be waiting until after my appointment. I’m not sure when I’ll even feel up to exercising (or have the time from baby).

With my first, I did light exercise (walking, yoga, etc) before my check up and then went back to running after I got the all ok from my doctor. This time around, I don’t have time to do any exercise because my two year old keeps me busy when the newborn is asleep. 😂

With baby #1, I never stopped. I continued working out 5+ days a weeks through all 40 weeks of pregnancy (ran 5 miles every morning, yoga every Friday, and then the gym for weightlifting 4+ times a week). I walked about 2 miles a day in the hospital as well and was back at the gym doing light exercises (doctor approved) within a week of delivering. With baby #2 I’ll be going back at 6 weeks since I wasn’t able to be as consistent with workouts this pregnancy. I’m currently 2 weeks postpartum and walk 3-5 miles a day on top of some morning yoga and eating super clean. I’ll go back to my full workouts next month.
