Who doing formula on their new borns

Hi guys! So anyone feeding there newborns formula? I’m breastfeeding but I don’t think it’s for me and I struggle with it... how do you guys cope with breastfeeding I just feel like my baby isn’t getting enough. My baby would only feed for like 4 mins on one boob and 8 mins on the other and would go back to sleep.. I’m worry so much

I give my newborn formula. I also gave it to my 16 month old daughter. Breastfeeding was very hard for me so giving them formula was just easier.

I quit breastfeeding. He wasn’t getting enough, I wasn’t making any milk barley so I decided to be done with it. He’s on formula now, and it’s so much less stressful.

My baby only usually feeds for about 10 minutes tops. If your baby has plenty of wet diapers and is gaining, they’re getting enough. Would you feel more comfortable pumping and giving baby the bottle?

My baby has short feeds as well but I think he’s just an efficient feeder because he’s gaining well :)

I supplement because she’s very hungry and doesn’t always feed well from me. I’ve been supplementing since she was about 5-6 days old. I’m considering stopping nursing and just pumping because she doesn’t fall asleep on the bottle, and then I can track how much she’s actually getting.

Breastfeeding was very hard with my first, wasn't producing enough, he was losing too much weight. By a month old switched to formula, a lot less stress, & he's now a healthy 2 year old. Just had my second son 3 weeks ago, struggled as well to produce, & currently doing well on formula too. Gotta do what feels right for you & baby. If baby is fed & gaining, whether its breast milk or formula, that's all that matters.

It's not for everyone, but bottle feeding stresses me tf out. With my son we had to supplement for a while and the time added cleaning up made me miserable, especially when he was going through a growth spurt and eating more often. Like the others said, if babe is gaining weight then they're getting enough.
