When my son turned one he had that test that checks for lead in his system and a few other things. I got a call a week ago saying he tested positive for the lead and to go get a blood test, I got a call today saying that his levels were still elevated enough to raise a slight concern but they’re not worrisome. The doctor called someone who will give me a call about what the possible lead exposure could be from, and how to fix it and may possibly come visit the home.

This is my first child so I kind of feel like I have failed him a little bit, but I’m concerned.. are they going to take my son away? Does children services get involved with things like this? Has anyone else’s baby had levels of lead in they’re system? The doctor said it’s not something she’s worried about that they just want to get his levels down. I just don’t know what to expect from something like this.
