Pumping to feed

Okay this may sound weird and hopefully it doesn’t lol . Are there any moms that decided to pump and feed verses having the baby on your boob ? I don’t know why but I’m nervous and I feel like since none of my daughters latched on that my son won’t either. With my youngest i pumped and tried to get her to latch on but it never worked out and eventually i switch to formula because i went back to work. Apart of me if thinking of just doing formula even though my plan is to breastfeed. 🤷🏽‍♀️ i don’t know I’m still on the fence but he will be here Thursday so i guess i better hurry up and make up my mind .
