If you had a disease or carried a gene for an extremely debilitating disease, would you consider not having children? Read before voting
So I was recently diagnosed with a medical condition. At the moment it’s manageable, however some cases are not and can progress to be quite severe.
It made me wonder, that if I had a particularly severe case, would I have still chosen to have children?
I say this because I hope that they don’t inherit a severe case of what I have which could lead to them having a lesser quality of life, or if I had a bad case it might impact my ability to be involved physically as much as I would like to be.
