Baby crying

My little guy is 3 weeks old and it seems when he's not eating, sleeping he's crying non stop and is unconsolable. At first it was only once a day for an hour, now it seems like it's all the time. I asked his doctor and a nurse and they all say it's normal, and he's just getting used to his gut.
