Does it hurt when you have sex?

I know you’re supposed to wait the 6-8 weeks and I’m going to wait and be cleared by my dr and everything but I’ve heard that even after girls heal and months after they still have pain when they have sex. How bad is the pain? Do you still have pain? If so, how long PP are you?

They don’t advise you to wait because of the pain. It’s because you have a MASSIVE open wound on your uterus from the placenta that is still healing and it’s a high risk of infection.
But on another note, I had a deep second degree tear and have no pain during sex but we didn’t try until about 3 months after I gave birth.

Had a section in 2017. Waited 6 weeks. The first time we tried we did a LOT of foreplay, used lube, and took it very slow. It definitely was slightly uncomfortable for a few months after birth even with all the steps said above. But it does get better with time.

Depends on if you had a vaginal birth or a cesarean. After my natural birth I had to wait 8 weeks because I was soo uncomfortable. My second born was a c section. I was able to resume sex within 12 days and felt fine. I don’t think there is a standard timing for everybody.

Gosh, my first baby was born in December 2017 and we tried at 8 weeks PP and it hurt so bad, even with water based lube as recommended by my OBGYN. It’s like I had to get used to it again so we would try every couple of weeks (poor hubs lol) and I had to be on top so I could control it, once “it” was “in” it wasn’t so bad, but honestly it wasn’t until August/September 2018 that I finally felt back to normal! 😅😅😅

We tried last month for the first time, would have been 6 months and it was super painful, had to stop. I should also mention I had a third degree tear and the recovery was rough :(

Oh it was awful. For a few months. Not even my first time hurt but fml after my stitches were all healed and i was cleared it was like... i was too tight.. and there was no.. stretch. It took a while for it to feel good again.
