Secret Pregnancy??

Question

Is anyone else keeping their pregnancy private until after they deliver? I’m not looking for those that “just haven’t announced yet”. 
I decided to keep my pregnancy to ourselves. Not announcing on social media. Not telling friends. I only have my online “friends”, so it’s not an issue. I don’t run in to anyone I know out in public. The only ones that know currently are my husbands family members and of course anyone they told. Even though we asked them not to share. We have 15 or less weeks to go in the pregnancy. 25 weeks along! 
I have all of these “friends” online that whenever they need something, they reach out to me. They’re never around when I need them. Only 2 of my Facebook friends wrote on my wall or messaged me to tell me happy birthday. When of course I go out of my way to message them or make sure they’re doing okay. I like all of their photos of their kids but, they never like any of mine. 
I’ve been learning they’re not really my friends.

My husband’s cousin didn’t tell anyone. Not only did they not announce it, but they didn’t call people. They only told people if they saw them. They had people over for Christmas, so some found out then (she was around 6 months). They hadn’t even told their parents. They did share on social media after the child was born. I hope they called their parents sometime before that.

I am one of those people who never would announce before 12 weeks. I had a early miscarriage before getting pregnant with my youngest daughter. So when that happened I didn't tell anyone. If they weren't family  or people who would see me they didn't know. My family found out when I was 14 weeks. Everyone else learned when I posted her birth announcement. Having a miscarriage was heartbreaking enough, I couldn't deal with the thought of having to grieve and explain that to people. So she was my secret baby. Not that I am trying to scare you. Just giving my story.

With my 3rd everyone knew I was pregnant but I decided not to share any photos online until he was close to 3 months old. No regrets. I dont like anyone knowing my business. I wish we wouldve never announced this one. I like my privacy.

I’m not telling several “friends”, mostly due to not seeing them during quarantine. I’ve told the people that matter and others will find out in due time. 
But the “friends” that will find out whenever will probably be all fake butt hurt that I didn’t tell them. And I’m like psh we don’t even talk. It’s the same like you said, they reach out to me when they need something, but if I ever need anything at all they’re mysteriously not available or just don’t ever respond and hours or days later “oh sorry I didn’t see your text”.

I told my family and a few friends who actually care about me. I've never posted things like that on social media because I've honestly learned majority of people don't care. People don't reach out to check up or anything once you stop posting. I have a 2 year old that I've never posted about or announced I was pregnant with and same with this pregnancy.

I kinda wanted to..I ama private person in general life and hate being the center of attention so I wanted to just call when baby was born and say hey here is a baby lol. My husband likes to share everything as soon as it happens so we compromised and announced around 23ish weeks but I would have been fine not announcing until baby was here. Would have made my life with the inlaws from hell waaaaaay easier.
