How did you know when to start potty training your children
I'm a mum of 2. I have a 2.5 year old and a 1 year old. Both girls. My eldest is in preschool (not right now due to covid-19). She will go back in September and she will go up to nursery in January as she turns 3 in december. I know I should start potty training her as shes at age when you start thinking about it but she isnt bothered. She hates having a nappy on but when it's on shes fine and hates having it taken off/changed most days. She can tell me when shes pooed but not when shes weed. She can be dry for 2hrs + at a time so she has the signs but shes not interested. I've got pottys around the house that she plays with and she tells me her babys, teddys etc are having a wee or poo so she understands she just doesnt want to do it herself. Im not sure how to approach it and when I ask my mum or her aunties for advice how they did it then just said they took away their nappies and never let them wear one again in the day until they learnt but what about after a week shes still not understanding and shes having accident all day everyday what do I do then? What if I put her back in nappies and she refuses? Or it confuses her more. I'm insure on how to start it. Its one parenting job I really wish I could skip the most. Any of your experiences or advice is extremely welcome I would appreciate it so much.
