Safe to have induction at 38 weeks?

Question

Currently 35 weeks. I have gestational diabetes and they just put me now a light dose of insulin today. 
I read that because of the gest . Diabetes they might induce u at 38 weeks. I’m just concerned that it may lead to a c-section or more time in the NICU. 
Anyone have positive experiences to make me feel better ?? :)

38 weeks is considered full term ..U ll be just fine

Likely won't need nicu time. A lot (not all) babies born at 35 weeks he's ration or later don't require any.
I only know this because I had a preemie (33 weeks) and am mentally preparing for another one!

I have diabetes and my daughter was born 34+6  with no nicu time

I was induced at 37&6 because of low fluid. Baby was perfectly healthy, no nicu.

A lot of babies are born at 38 weeks. They wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t safe.
