I love you vs love you-maybe I’m crazy

This may sound dumb and I need y’all to be straight up if I’m over thinking but my boyfriend almost never says “I love you.”

He only says “love you” or even “love u”

I hate it so much and to me, the “I “ before is very important. Its like he leaves it out and idk if its on purpose or he’s just a guy and doesnt notice.

It took him a while to say I love you at all, and he did say “I” the first time lol, but we’ve been together over a year now and I feel like the extra letter makes a difference and means a little more. Should I address it and how without sounded like a lunatic. Or is it not an issue for y’all?
