If you DONT use bottles does your husband/partner help at night with the baby?

My 12 week old is exclusively breastfed and we don’t use bottles at all. He’s up a lot at night, 5-7 times and my husband won’t help bc he says the baby just wants to nurse, which is true that’s what he wants but it’s not NEEDED so I would like my husband to take at least one wake up a night and rock him or do frankly ANYTHING just to get him to go back to sleep without me. Husband thinks this is unreasonable 🙄.

I get up with baby - nurse, change, and put back to sleep. If she won’t sleep (which is rare) then my husband gets up and soothes her so I can lay down.

You’re not being unreasonable. That’s a lot of times overnight for just you to handle.

I’m ebf and do any night time wake ups since all she wants is to eat. I’m not sure how waking my husband would help since she’d just continue to cry until a nipple entered her mouth. Also, my husband is working his butt off...getting up at 6-7am most days and not coming home until 7-8pm...so, it’s only fair in my opinion.

He would if there was something for him to do, but really, the baby just needs to be fed. He wakes up really early though, and usually takes the baby then (we co-sleep) so that I can stretch out and have a good sleep for a bit.

Maybe your baby needs to feed like you said. You would know best. But sometimes babies aren't actually hungry and we assume they are so we nurse them back to sleep. When in reality they just have trouble transitioning through sleep cycles and need us to soothe them through it (without food) so.......... your husband can definitely help with that. 
He can just try rocking her back to sleep 2 times a night as a test for like maybe 2 weeks. Then you can both decide if that's working for your family or not. I bet it would make a world of a difference for you - which is really all that matters at this point. You need sleep too, no?

My little one only wakes up a couple of times to eat and usually goes right back to sleep (we cosleep). If baby has a restless night and my husband doesn't have to work in the morning I'll get my husband to take him so I can get a little extra sleep.

I don't breast feed anymore but when I did my husband would get the baby and change her while I got ready to feed, and if I struggled to settle her after he would help out with that too.

I'm still off work so I'm doing the night and then I "sleep in" (until like 7) with my daughter. When I go back, I expect my husband to split time with me
