I have a close friend that had a few miscarriages and has been trying to get pregnant for as long as I have known her (5 years) when we got pregnant I told her privately so she wasn't blindsided or hurt over it. I also recently talked to her about how my husband and I are going to start trying for baby 3 this summer just as a heads up. We talk daily and are pretty close so I wanted to give her time and space because I know it can be painful for those with infertility.

If you have people close to you who are struggling, I would tell them privately first just as a heads up. Otherwise, I do not think you need to worry about it. It’s hard to see pregnancy announcements when you are struggling with fertility, but it’s just a part of life that you learn how to cope with. Being sensitive to the people you know is a lovely idea though!

I’ve struggled with infertility for 2 years now   We’re still TTC but haven’t fallen pregnant yet. My best friend is pregnant. What made me feel bette this that she told me before she publicly announced it. Although I was still a tad jealous, it really made me happy that she thought enough about me to tell my herself.
