Moving to a different country?

Question

Would you willingly move to a different country if your husband/boyfriend/SO wanted to?  
Would it be a deal breaker?  What if you have children, would you move?

You have to weight up a lot of different things. Do you speak the language of the country, is it for work etc. ultimately, you can move back if you don’t like it, it’s not the end of the world. I moved from the UK to Italy, not where I would have chosen but my husband family lives their and he really wanted to move closer to them. He had really bad homesickness. I was planning to move to japan, but the pandemic happened and had to let that job opportunity go as the boarders were closed, so for me, I was already willing for a new adventure. And ultimately I have no issues moving back if I decide to. Italy is actually not my favourite place but We came to a decision to live their for a few years. And then, we will move again, as I am not that fond of the country.

Depends where he wants to go and if I could find a job as well. My field is pretty specific and quite limited geographically.

I’m the one trying to convince my husband to move to a different country. 😂 We live in CA, and it’s just so damn expensive here, especially for raising kids. We’re not even in the Bay Area or somewhere known for being expensive.
I’m trying to get him to move back to Germany with me, since that’s where I’m from. I think it’s just such a culture shock for most Americans tho.

Really depends on the country. Is it somewhere I’d have fewer rights as a woman or is it like Denmark?

So it depends on where, why, and how old my kids are. So right now, childless, I am down to move if my husband got a job overseas and in a country we both like. If we had kids that were in school, I would hesitate a bit, we would have to talk about the opportunity, where we would be moving to, and when since I wouldn’t want to pull them out of school mid year unless it was necessary. 
I grew up overseas and absolutely loved it so I’m all for it for the most part.

Depends on the country, and why he wants to move. I'd consider it for sure. We had considered moving to a different province when we first got married but decided we wanted to stay close to family. Now we have kids so that's even more important to us. He wouldn't suggest it unless he had a good reason.

Well it’s definitely a family decision but yes, I’d totally be open to it. I’m not too pleased with the US lately anyway.
