Do you think Hospitals are just in it for the money when it comes to labor& delivery?

I noticed in America that so many OBs in hospital are quick to push unnecessary interventions during labor, unwanted pain medication, unneeded inductions before 42 weeks, and c-sections. Do you think it’s just a coincidence and they’re just treating labor like something strictly medical because they’re doctors or do you think they try to get women out as fast as possible and try to rack up their bill as much as possible as well?
