My 6 week old daughter is bottle fed pumped breast milk. I would say 8 times out of 10 she either struggles to latch onto the bottle and gets frustrated (begins crying and then can’t eat because she’s crying so hard) or is already crying and then “refuses” to even try latching on. When this happens, it takes her a good 15 minutes (sometimes more) to latch on and start eating. We have tried several different bottles to see if that was the problem, but it didn’t go any better with others either. My next thought is to size up the bottle nipple but, once she latches, she eats pretty quickly. So I don’t want to size up and have her eating even faster.

Any thoughts on what’s happening and what we can do to help her? It’s a pretty awful feeling watching your child get so upset and you don’t know how to help them! 😔
