Epidural

Hey ladies I have a quick question. I’m at the hospital right now and have been here since yesterday. I had the cervidil place in me at 10pm yesterday in hopes of my cervix softening up and dilating past one. They took it out at 5 this morning and there was no progress. I have been on pitocin since 6 this morning and still as of right now no changes. I’m still 1 centimeter dilated. My question is if I got the epidural would that relax my body and help me dilate more?
