9 month climber?π±π
So a few weeks ago I posted about my (now) 8 month old refusing to nap in his crib. After some great advice and resources I was able to get him to sleep in his crib no problem. But now I'm facing a separate issue.
He's close to climbing out.
I put him down for a nap and I happened to glance at the monitor and he had silently woken up (after about 5 minutes of being out) sat up and pulled himself to standing in his crib and moving himself along using the railing. He refuses to try to nap again. So I'm going to count this as a nap lost for the day and try again at his next scheduled nap. But I'm worried.
The mattress is at the lowest setting. The railings all around are the same height so I can't turn the crib around. Its converting crib (4 in 1 i think) as well. This isn't a first either.
He was sitting in his pack and play and I had it pushed against a chair while I moved some things around setting the living room for him this morning. I turn around to find he had gotten hold of the back of the chair with his feet firmly planted against the netting of the wall of the pack n play, pulling himself up, trying to climb out.
We are getting him a play pen for the living room so he can roam around freely and safely, but what do I do about his crib and nap time disasters, especially if he starts trying to climb out way sooner than expected? Ave how can I di this without messing up his night routine. Anyone experiencing early explorers pleaser lend me advice.
