Happy?

Question

Was anyone’s husband not totally thrilled when they found out that you were pregnant? Mine seems to be in a little bit of denial. We were certain it would probably take a while... even while doing opk’s. I have endometriosis so I thought we’d be trying for maybe a year. 
I feel so alone. We haven’t told anyone yet.. so I haven’t had anyone else to lean on for support. 
Anyone else?

I felt very alone for a long time in this pregnancy; we’ve had two losses now and I think my husband was just nervous and trying to protect his own heart so he could be strong for me if things didn’t end well again. Our 20 month old is also VERY difficult right now so things have just been stressful so I chalked it up to too much on his plate. Doesn’t mean I didn’t get upset about it, I just let it go for a bit and after our anatomy scan he has been sooooo much better.

My husband felt weird/scared at first and truthfully wouldn’t express his feelings but after about 2 weeks or so he came around and started engaging in the excitement. Getting pregnant is a great thing but it’s also a little scary. Just give him time and he will come around ❤️

My husband was very blah with all three. Even with us trying and all were planned. He eventually showed he cared down the road around the gender reveal time.

I just think everyone is different. We had a loss back in March at 18 weeks and another one in August of last year at 10 weeks so when I found out this time it is harder to get happy and enjoy it. Maybe he just doesn’t want to show his feelings just yet. Give him time. Congrats ❤️

My ex husband never seemed interested. We tried for 6 months, got pregnant, had a miscarriage and then got pregnant a month later. He never engaged. Wasn’t active during labor. Took a couple pictures and showed some interest as an infant but eventually checked out completely. I literally had no help. We have since divorced and he spends time with her every other weekend and is more active but still doesn’t have any type of bond. 
He had an extremely broken childhood and wasn’t raised in an environment that fostered love, was never told by his family that they love him, never shown affection etc. I think it’s just a learned behavior. 
I’m not saying this is what will happen with your situation, just sharing mine. 
I’m remarried now and we’ve been trying for a baby. I took a pregnancy test a couple weeks ago and my current husband started crying at the thought of having a baby. Everyone is different.

My husband was happy but was afraid to celebrate in case something went wrong or we had a false positive

He might just need some time for it to sink in. Sometimes it takes longer to "feel real" to men because they arent the ones carrying the baby. My husband was happy with my first but I wouldnt say he was jumping for joy. It wasnt until he saw baby at our ultrasound that he started to get excited.
