I think with the amount of nicknames like Charley, Char, Lottie it makes it a bit different as not every Charlotte goes by the same nickname ☺️

Yes. I'm from the UK, born in the mid 90s, and Charlotte was #7 in 1996. I grew up with many Charlottes and Lotties, including a cousin, and though the name decreased in popularity from 2006-2015 all the way to #25, it's back at #12 now. For contrast, Charlotte was #302 in the US in 1996, #125 in 2006, #9 in 2015, and now #6 in 2018 (latest year of data). 
It's extremely common... though for a good reason, as it's lovely and classic.

It is kind of common but we have had the name Charley chosen for our little girl after my dad Charles for awhile so we are using it regardless.

It’s one of those names that is on the top 10 list for the US, but I still feel like I never see baby girls named Charlotte! I think it’s a beautiful name. If you went for it now, I still think you’d be getting in before it really blows up. I’d name my baby girl that, but my mom named her new dog Charlotte🙄

I hear it a lot but it’s still one of my favorite names because it’s beautiful and classic and has a lot of cute nicknames! It’s an oldie but a goodie in my book!

Charlotte’s the name we have chosen if baby is a girl :) I feel like its a where you live thing honestly whether it’s popular or not. I see it all the time online but we don’t know any other Charlotte’s personally and I’ve even asked 3 of my good friends that are teachers and day care workers if they hear it a lot and they said they haven’t heard it at all. 2 have been teachers for 3 years and 1 in daycare for 6 years. Where I live the popular names are Ava, Olivia, Emerson and Aubrey for girls. So I really think it just depends on location :) and even if it is popular if you love it then who cares!
